"The purpose of the mass immunization plan is to provide staff with the information and training to be able to plan, work confidently and competently, and to effectively manage a mass immunization clinic. Vaccines remain one of the most important public health strategies for the protection of people from diseases. In the event of a serious outbreak of a vaccine preventable disease, this plan is intended to guide the health unit in a large scale response". - Mass Immunization Plan (Appendix A)
